Admitted first-year students are invited to review each day’s schedule for Highlander Week Live here, but must register through MyUCR. Parents and guardians are also welcome to attend all the events, but (if watching separately from their student) should register using the links for each session below.

Monday, April 21, 2025

  • 4 p.m. | Learn about Health Wellbeing and Safety Organization Student Resources

    The Well will provide an overview of Health, Wellbeing, and Safety, highlighting the various services each department offers. Will also share about the Wellbeing Connect project which invites students attending orientations to participate in virtual Zoom sessions. These sessions provide a valuable platform for them to engage with and ask questions to current UCR students. 

  • 4pm | Student Disability Resource Center Informational Session

    Join us for our information session to learn about the comprehensive resources, services, and opportunities available through the Student Disability Resource Center (SDRC).  Why attend? What to Expect:

    Get an overview of SDRC services and accommodations.
    Tips for navigating your transition to UCR.
    A Q&A session with SDRC staff.

  • 4 p.m. | Learn about Health Wellbeing and Safety Organization Student Health Services and UC SHIP

    Student Health Services (SHS) Front Desk Service and Insurance will provide an overview of our offered services, immunization compliance, and the UC Student Health Insurance Plan (UC SHIP).

    Thinking about becoming a Highlander but you live outside of California? This session is just for you! Join UC Riverside’s admissions team for a live Q&A designed specifically for out-of-state students. Whether you’re just exploring your options or getting ready to commit, this is your chance to connect, learn, and see if UCR is the right fit for you!

  • 5 p.m. | Advising and Support Services for Students Pursuing Careers in Health and Law Professions

    The Pre-Professional Advising Center provides information, advising, and support for students who aspire to graduate/professional programs in the health and law professions and wish to enhance their academic and extracurricular preparation. Professional staff and peer mentors guide students as they plan their pre-health and pre-law coursework, curricular-related experiences, service work, and research in preparation for applying to programs.
