No, your attendance at the Scholarship Celebration has no affect on your scholarship status.

-
I was admitted to the Pre-Business major in CHASS, but my invitation says I should attend the Scholarship Celebration for the School of Business. What should I do?
Although you have been admitted to the Pre-Business program which is housed in CHASS, the hope is that you will one day become a full major in the School of Business. For this reason, the School of Business is fully involved in recruitment, and would like you to attend sessions and events specifically designed for this major. If you are not sure you want to be a Business major, feel free to attend another college Scholarship Celebration event.
-
I was admitted to one college, but I am curious about another. Can I attend a different college or school event?
Yes, but please note that the content will be specific to each college Scholarship Celebration. For example, only majors in the College of Natural and Agricultural Sciences (CNAS) will be discussed at the CNAS Scholarship Celebration. If you plan to stay in CNAS, it is not advisable for you to attend a non-CNAS Scholarship Celebration event.
If you're thinking about moving to a different college or changing your major, contact your admissions counselor as soon as possible. UCR is a selective campus, and majors are impacted if admitted students make changes to their admitted college or intended majors.
