All summer long you've been getting yourself ready for your first quarter at UCR. We've been right there with you throughout your #countdowntoUCR, and now we're continuing the countdown live on Instagram. Tune in to @LifeatUCR and this website Tuesdays and Thursdays Sept. 15–Oct. 8 for videos, Stories, giveaways, and more! Each week, we'll feature themed content to help you get ready for your first quarter at UCR and will have challenges that could win you a $75 voucher to our campus bookstore.   • Week One (Sept. 15–17)

     

    What's it like taking online classes at UCR? For the first week of Countdown to UCR Live, current UCR students are answering your questions about remote learning in a brand-new video. All incoming students who submitted questions for this video have been entered into a drawing to win one of two $75 campus bookstore vouchers. Check out @LifeatUCR on Thursday to see who won!

  • Week Two (Sept. 22–24)

     

    How do you set up a functional, organized, distraction-free remote learning space? For the second week of Countdown to UCR Live, current students are answering your questions and sharing advice on how to set up a remote learning space in a brand-new video. For this week's challenge, we asked incoming students to share pictures of their remote work spaces for a chance to win a $75 campus bookstore voucher. Tune in to @LifeatUCR to see who won.

  • Week Three (Sept. 29–Oct. 1)

    How do you take and succeed in online classes? For the third week of Countdown to UCR Live, members of our distinguished faculty are answering your questions and sharing advice across two videos. Video one features science, engineering, and business faculty. Video two features writing, business, and science faculty. Tune in next week for the final video in the series and to take part in the last challenge for a chance to win a $75 campus bookstore voucher.

  • Week Four (Oct. 6–8)

     

    How do you make friends and build community virtually? For the final week of Countdown to UCR Live, current UCR students share how their campus organizations are staying active virtually and offer advice on making connections in this new remote learning environment.

A few notes on the challenges. Everyone in the UCR community is welcome to send in questions and posts but only incoming freshman and transfer students are eligible to win the campus bookstore vouchers. Late entries will not be accepted. To qualify for the Weeks Two, Three, and Four challenges, you must be following @LifeatUCR on Instagram. You can enter every #countdowntoUCR challenge but can only win a maximum of one drawing. Undergraduate Admissions will contact challenge drawing winners to verify their eligibility.
