The University of California recently launched the Tuition Stability Plan, ensuring that students can more easily afford a UC education by keeping tuition stable once they’re enrolled. Beginning fall 2022, tuition will be set for each incoming class and that cost will remain flat, for up to six years. For current students who enrolled in 2021 or earlier, their tuition will also remain at the current rate for up to six years.

Both incoming first-year and transfer students will have their tuition set when they enroll and can expect those costs to remain the same, for up to six academic years. This allows an unprecedented predictability for families to manage educational costs and for UCR to provide greater opportunities for financial aid. Students from outside California also benefit from this plan.
