Beginning Wednesday, Sept. 1, incoming and prospective students can visit the Highlander One-Stop Shop (HOSS) Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. to get in-person help with their admissions questions. Once in-person services resume, students can continue to interact with Undergraduate Admissions via email, the online inquiry form, the ScottyBot chat bot, virtual Zoom appointments, and phone.

"Over the course of the last 16 months we discovered that students found these mechanisms of connecting with our office quick and convenient and we are happy to be able to maintain these mechanisms of connecting with our Undergraduate Admissions team," shared Emily Engelschall, interim associate vice chancellor of Enrollment Services and director of Undergraduate Admissions. "Incoming and prospective students and families who have a preference to engage with our office in-person will be able to do so through the Highlander One-Stop Shop or connecting with one of our admission counselors who will be designated on-site 9–5, Monday through Friday."

Along with Undergraduate Admissions offices reopening for in-person services, the Campus Tours Office is also reopening for incoming and prospective students who would like to visit the UCR campus.

"Throughout the fall quarter, Undergraduate Admissions will begin offering limited on-campus tour opportunities for visitors and will continue to host virtual events," Engelschall said. "For those visitors who are unable to secure a campus tour reservation, self-guided tour brochures will be available for guests to explore the campus at their own pace."

Undergraduate Admissions is resuming in-person services as the UCR campus is preparing to reopen for the fall quarter. Eighty percent of classes will be offered in-person this fall, campus housing and dining will be back at full capacity, student services will be provided in-person, and a limited number of in-person events are being planned.
