School of Business
As a School of Business student, you will become equipped to face the business challenges of the 21st century.

Majors & Minors
Freshmen students must apply to Pre-Business under the College of Humanities and Social Sciences (CHASS). The College breadth requirements and the prerequisites for a Business major are completed during the freshman and sophomore years. An application is submitted at the end of the sophomore year. Upon acceptance, students become Business majors and are then advised in the Business Department.

Christine Sato-Yamazaki ’92 (Business Administration) is the Chairperson for the National Veterans Network. She worked with the U.S. Congress to pass a bill awarding the Congressional Gold Medal to the 100th, 442nd and MIS divisions. Sato-Yamazaki is UC Riverside’s 2012 Alumni Service Award recipient.

Ernesto (Ernie) Rios ’07 (MBA) is the executive director of Pathways to Success, a coalition of institutions that improves college access and completion rates for Coachella Valley students. Rios is UCR's 2013 Outstanding Young Alumnus Award recipient.
Jamie Chung '05 (Economics) has appeared on MTV’s The Real World: San Diego, Once Upon A Time, Greek, Veronica Mars, and Days of Our Lives. She also played roles in Big Hero 6, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For, and The Hangover Part II and III.
