In the Spotlight

“Applying what you learn in the classroom to hands-on research projects is critical as it brings the curriculum full circle. The senior design project allows students to build on their education and get research experience that will set them apart from their competition after graduation.”

- Jason Skovgard ’11 (Chemical Engineering)

“The engineering professors are amazing, the lab resources are excellent, and the student body is a diverse mix of minds and experiences. UCR takes education seriously but provides plenty of opportunities to have some fun along the way.”

- Jayme Dryden ’03 (Environmental Engineering)

“Diversity is important to me. I wanted to go to a campus where I could meet people who share a similar background with me but could also learn from people from other cultures.”

- Marlan Castro ’16 (Bioengineering)
