Influence the way we communicate as a Computer Science major. Build customized health care devices as a Bioengineering major. Smruti Parichha ’12 (Ph.D. in Computer Science) received the 2012 Celebration for Women Students Graduate Student Award for inspiring female students to overcome challenges and pursue a graduate education. Parichha is a Google senior software engineer.
Jose Lopez, Isaac Saldana and Tim Jenkins founded SendGrid, an email delivery/management service company. Today it moves over 14 billion emails per month, and services over 180,000 companies, including Pinterest, Foursquare, Spotify and Uber.
Steve (Shaohui) Chen ’05 (Computer Science) and ’07 (MBA Management) is the director of International Relations at the School of Business Administation. He is also the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Strategic Planning at Acorn Technology Corporation.
Chotirat "Ann" Ratanamahatana ’05 (Ph.D. in Computer Science) received Thailand’s prestigious 2010 Young Technologist Award from the Foundation for the Promotion of Science and Technology. She is an Assistant Professor at Chulalongkorn University.
